The Matwork Accreditation comprises five units of competency drawn from the Certificate IV course, which offers participants a Statement of Attainment for each unit successfully achieved. This program is designed to reflect the role of Pilates Instructors who operate in a one-on-one through to group Matwork capacity, with apparently healthy clientele.

The units of competency that make up the Matwork Accreditation are all units from within the Certificate IV in Pilates Instruction.

• Instruct matwork client sessions in private or semi-private studio environments
• Instruct matwork classes in a studio, community centre, health club or fitness centre
• Instruct health-centre/gymnasium matwork group classes
• Conduct home and corporate visits utilising the matwork
• Instruct low-risk clients in the following areas: conditioning, posture correction, and preventative care

• Integrated Repertoire 1,2,4

The Matwork Accreditation is 170 hours and can generally be undertaken full-time over 2-3 months or part-time over 3-6 months.

Once successfully completed the student has the option to progress to the Certificate IV (91121NSW) in Pilates Instruction and consequently the Diploma of Professional Pilates Practice (91120NSW) course.

The Matwork Accreditation will not provide eligibility for full membership with an professional industry regulatory body. The Certificate IV in Pilates Instruction will give immediate eligibility for full membership with a professional industry regulatory body.
